Hawaii Day 4

Day 4 was kept short and simple. We hung around Waikiki beach and the international market the entire day. And went to a luau later that day, where a shuttle came and picked us up around 4pm.

Hawaii Day 3

Day 3. First thing in the morning, we had breakfast, then went down the street to the bus stop, were a shuttle then picked us up. First, we went jet-skiing. Had too much fun. Baybee was quicker than I thought. Parasailing came after, where we saw the whole Waikiki coast. Unbelievable. Too bad I threw up nearly 1000 feet in the air. Having already been on a boat for nearly 2 hours, I had to toss it up. Made our way back to the hotel where we fired up some Hawaiian goods. My stomach was then back to normal. Hungry, we walked down the street to grab food from the shrimp truck, which we paid visits too about four separate occasions on the trip. After lunch, we hopped on line 22 to Hanauma bay. The water, by then, was too salty. Therefore, too dense, disabling us from snorkeling. Still, very relaxing. BUT THEN WE MISSED THE BUS!!!!!!!!!!!! We walked back up the hill, and down the freeway, and my dude Patrick came through during crunch time. DROP TOP HOPPIN' ON CLOUD 9 VIA PAPER PLANES!!!! Turned 21, and got dumbass faded at DnB Honolulu.

Hawaii Summer 2009 Day 2

Day 2! Woke up at around 530am, HAWAII TIME, which is 830am here in California. We left the window blinds wide open with the intent to be woken up by the sunrise! Take a look at the video! Then we took a walk to the beach around 630 or so, hitting up Shore Bird breakfast buffet at around 7. Food was great. Mahi Mahi for breakfast? Yup. After breakfast, we took a small stroll, and ran into a scooter rental shack! BEEP BEEP. Only had them for about two hours, so we took it up and down Waikiki, making a couple stops to admire the shores. Scooters then are returned, lunch is held. Then we ended up going to a small lake/pond and waterfall up in the mountains. Amazing, one of my favorite parts of the trip. There were rocks acting as waterslides, cliffs to jump off of, vines in trees to swing into the air and into the water. Despite the water being so cold, it was nothing but fun. Then we went back to the room and hung out there. Long day! Shout out to C9C.

Ventilation

As all of you already know, the economy of the United States of America is in bad shape, really bad shape. NUMMI, a Toyota-manufacturer based in Fremont, has cut tons of employees. GMC in Souther California closed down 11 dealerships, along with another 100,000 from the assembly lines. Even my mother only works 16-20 hours a week. How do you pay a mortgage with that? Tell me, please. Not only do people not have jobs, some don't even qualify for EDD (unemployment for those of you who didn't know). Not having jobs, means no money. No money means that bills go unpaid, debt beginning to pile up. And people seem to resort to opening other lines of credit to pay existing debt, only going around in circles paying debt with debt. If it even gets to that point that is. What do I mean exactly? For example: You have NO MONEY, need a loan, resort to your
bank. Nowadays, banks are very skeptical about lending, because no one has money to pay it back. That's why we are in the situation that we are in. Back in the real-estate hey-day, people were obviously buying homes left and right. Not because they "had money", but just because mortgages were "approved". Requirements for a mortgage was very, VERY, VERY MINIMAL. Almost anybody and everybody got approved, regardless of credit score, employment, and income. EVERYONE GOT APPROVED. Why? When a loan specialist lands a deal, what does he earn? Something we are all familiar with: COMMISSION. Just sayin...

Not only does California not have money, (along with the rest of the nation), tuition price is going up. Why exactly? Because our "Governor" decided that we had other things to spend our budget on? Like this $6.3 Billion dollar Bay Bridge project? $6.3 billion for ONE BRIDGE, while $594 million is taken from California higher education systems? Just sayin...

Back to the increase of tuition price. Every semester up until this point, I have been allowed to register for 19 units. Now that I'm paying MORE, I get to register for LESS, 16 units. On top of that, teachers are let go, leading to classes being cut, leading to more jammed classes, leading to more stress for an already stressful college life and career. Just sayin...

We emphasize so much on higher education, and constantly remind our children to stay in school. How is that possible when some don't have access to the resources necessary? WHAT THE FUCK IS AMERICA SPENDING OUR FUCKING MONEY ON? We all work hard for our money. It's even taken from us before we even get to count it. EXAMPLE: PAY CHECKS! Is this not enough? They're taking the average American's hard earned money and blowing it on WHAT? TELL ME???? WTF ARE THEY SPENDING THE MONEY ON????

Canada has free health-care for all of its citizens. So does Cuba, a third-world country. America ranks 40-something on the health care list. Most powerful and richest nation huh? That's why we can't even take care of our own.

To sum up this blog entry, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOIN ON IN AMERICA?!?!?!

Thank you, Raza 210

Being a third year business management major, this is the first health class that I’ve taken. And to be honest with you guys, this is the best course I’ve taken yet. Going into the class with intent to fulfill GE requirements, I didn’t know a thing about healthcare. And then I get introduced to Clinica Martin Baro, which I thought was a great idea to help out the underprivileged. But after going over and reading so much material on the everyday struggle against racism, poverty, political repression, sexism, homelessness, and, immigration status discrimination, I concluded that what you guys are doing at the Clinica is phenomenal. Despite having so little resources, you guys are still making a difference in the world by providing free healthcare for those who don’t have access to it. I’m writing to simply thank you for allowing me to contribute, by fundraising, to such a great cause. You guys are doing an amazing job, and keep up the great work!

What's up

It's been a real long time since I've posted a legitimate blog, so here it is. Man, lately I've just been real caught up with school, starting about the time I came back to school. Essays, readings, analyses, presentations, exams, homework, it was tough. But on the brighter side of things, there's only one last week of school, that week being final examination. I got an accounting midterm Tuesday, Health paper due Wednesday morning, and a Humanities final Thursday morning. Damn. But I look forward to summer though, you bet. Got a very nice trip planned, more details when the time comes. Don't forget about the money, don't forget about the money. And swine flu? Damn, first it alarmed the entire world three days straight. Then, we don't hear about it at all for about two almost three weeks? All of a sudden it's back. So remember, don't forget to wash your hands and cover your mouth when coughing, sneezing, or even both? Music; Been listening to Rick Ross - Deeper than Rap. Raw as hell. 50's a bitch. Jadakiss - The Last Kiss been in the deck too, don't forget to check that out. And playoffs? Lakers vs. Cavs in the finals; Kobe vs. Lebron. And considering the way that the Lakers have been playing lately, LBJ and posse is gonna go all the way, in 6 games. We'll see. DEUCES!

It was fun, Dikembe.

Last night during game 2 of the Rockets and Blazers playoff series, Dikembe Mutombo was tangled underneath the bucket with Blazers' Greg Oden, and came down hard on his left leg, injuring his knee. He laid on his back in tears, screaming in agony. It was hard to watch him go out like this. But he's 42 years old, in his 18th season in the league, and it's incredible how good of shape he's in considering he's 42 years old. It was fun , Dikembe, watching you growing up, contesting every shot, waving the finger after a successful block. here's a tribute!!!

Another AIG issue.

After receiving $173 billion in bailouts in the past six months, a bailout that the AVERAGE American must pay for, AIG plans on distributing $165 million in bonus pay to it's executives. What's wrong with this picture?

1. Everyday, millions of Americans bust their asses to meet their responsibilities. They do this, every single day, without multi-billion dollar bailouts, without multi-million dollar bonuses. On top of that, small business are struggling greatly, just to keep their credit line open.

2. The bonus that AIG wants to distribute is going towards AIG's executives, the same tiny group of people who crafted complicated deals that wound up shaking the world's economic foundations. They share $165 million, while you and I, get jack shit.

Obama is outraged, and plans on doing whatever he can to prevent this from happening.

Fuck this shit. Just my .02.

New BlackBerry Curve for T-Mobile.

Two bad-ass Blackberry's have came out within the past season. The Bold and the Storm. Bold is flawless. I'm diggin' the soft-shell on the back, as well as the chrome trim. The Storm was good despite all the bugs that was on the phone when it first came out. But with these software updates, the Storm is now up to par. But check out the new Curve. 3.2 megapixel camera just like the Bold and Storm. Like the previous curve, it keeps it's full QWERTY keyboard, but unlike the last, this one has a FULL HTML browser. Similar to the Bold, Storm, and iPhone by Apple. And it has a shape that's resemblike the Storm in many ways, which I think is great.

What do I like most?
1. The new Blackberry Interface.
2. The shape of the curve.
3. Full HTML browser.
4. THE BLACK TRACKBALL

Pictures do the justice. Let's hope I'm due for an upgrade when it's released.

More pictures can be found here.
