Nas f/ Goapele @ The Warfield, San Francisco. 11-28-08

Nas, one of my top five's of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all I can really say. A bit old (show was on 28th of November), but I finally managed to upload pictures and videos. Saw him at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco. Dude's been rockin' hip-hop since 1992 man. Sixteen years man. It was really dope, had an upper level, bar, balconies, nothin' like I had ever been to. Not only did Goapele open for him, but instead of a DJ, Nas had a live band, which was pretty fucken' dope. Had a couple drinks, stood up in like the fifth or sixth row, blew about three sticks. Damn that shit was fun. One thing that I found pretty interesting was the lobby of the theatre. Looked up on the walls of the lobby and saw photos of Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, all doin' their thing up on the Warfield stage. Pretty dope. Check out the video. Nooo!!

All good things come to an end. Even Polaroid film cameras. Earlier this year, Polaroid announced that they will be winding down on the production of these classic cameras. Every Christmas, I go through all our families old photo albums, with 50% of the albums consisting of Polaroid photos. These cameras are classic. Playin' around with one when I was younger didn't mean much. But lookin' back now, it was all a great experience: watching a visual memory form right before your eyes. These things will be gone and off the shelves by the end of the year, but of course, you can always run to eBay. Goodbye, Polaroid. We shared a lot of great memories together.

Ambition.

Today in my information systems class, we had a guest speaker, CIO of Safeway, David Ching, come in and talk to us about careers and internships. CIO is the chief information officer of a corporation. What this guy does is he manages those who work on the information systems that Safeway uses. For example, the point of sale system you see at the checkout lane, or even the big bulky inventory counter that people use to check inventory. A fellow student asked him a question: "What is your biggest pet peeve being CIO?" "I realized that people nowadays are very ambitious. Ambitious in the wrong sense. Now, people are worried about job-title goals, promotional goals, materialistic goals, financial goals, so on and so on. Being ambitious is really all about challenging yourself, stepping out of your comfort zone into a territory that isn't yours, and making it yours. Being ambitious is to never be complacent. Whatever it is that you do, find a way to do it better. Strive; strive to be the best at what you do. But of course you gotta enjoy it all at the same time." Something to think about.

Damn cops.

So dude gets raped in a subway station by three NYPD cops. With a fucken' baton! You can't be serious....

2009 Sport Bike Models

Check 'em out. All models are 600cc engines. Here's how I ranked them:

1. Suzuki GSX-R600. As always Suzuki did it again. You can never ever go wrong with a Gix.
2. Yamaha R6. R6 has always been my second favorite, Gix being the first. Although, This is the sickest R6 that Yamaha has come out to date.
3. Honda CBR600rr. Very similar to the 2007-2008. Still slick.
4. Kawasaki ZX6r. When they had the 04-07 Ninja's, I thought they were dope. 2008, okay. 2009, just......okay..... Wouldn't mind ridin' it though. Looks pretty rough; kinda like a Triumph.

Nu Jerzey Devil f/ Lil' Wayne - Different Girl

Lil Wayne really fell off my fucken book since the dude went T-Pain on every single damn track. He got a couple fire tracks and verses here and there, nothin' like the Carter II, Dedication II, or Drought is Over III type shit though. But on this one, he shows why he one of the best rappers in the game. Switch his flow up numerous times on his verse (2nd verse). I provided a link for your enjoyment and download.

Long time no post.

It's been a while. Been stupid-ass busy with school and work. Exam after exam, quiz after quiz; I can't wait until the semester ends. I go to school three days a week, work 5 days a week. No days off. Fuck, I need one! But theres only two more weeks, so it couldn't be that bad, right? Anways...

Thanksgiving was great. Managed to go home and kick it with the folks and my two brothers. Ate plenty of food, did nothin' but hang around the house in sweats and socks. Shiiiiiit, it was dope doin' absolutely nothin'. I needed that. Black Friday was dope too. I ain't get a LCD flat-panel television for $400 like a few lucky square-bear-ass dude's I know. However, I did make it to Staples to buy the last terabyte, 1000GB, external hard drive for 80 bones. 8GB memory card for the Blackberry for $9.99 too. Pretty dope come up.

But I just finished up some homework, and decided to surf the web for ideas of what my future crib is to look like. Here's what I came across, and figure was worth sharing. Until next time!

Kanye West - Heartless

My man Kanye the Louis Vuitton Don came out with the official video for his song "Heartless" off his upcoming album 808's and Heartbreaks. Like his Flashing Lights video, this one is out of the ordinary, simply because its animated. Kanye, in my personal opinion, is the most artistic rap artist out there. From his lyrics, his attire, flow, even music videos, are the most flashy, exuberant, the most out there. I'm lookin' forward to his album, despite this T-Pain vodcodin' shit.

Warriors suspend Monta Ellis.

Monta Ellis of the Golden State Warriors was suspended for lying to Golden State officials about a low-speed mo-ped accident in late August. He told the staff that he had rolled his ankle in a pickup game in his home state of Mississippi, only admitting the truth several days later. Back in July, Ellis agreed to a six year deal worth $66 million with the Warriors. Today, turns out he's SUSPENDED for the first 30 games of the season, no pay, estimating to about $3 million. SMH. There's a new Call of Duty game comin' out: World at War. Unlike COD4, this one is based a while back. For more, click here.

Anyways, here's one of the funniest things I've seen for a while, and figured it was well worth posting: Some dude smokin' salvia.

Update.

Another gorgeous day in San Francisco. Took out the toy and snaps some real pictures. Check 'em out:

My Vivitar 285VH flash just came in the mail. Fucked around with it for a bit.

Dope flash huh? And yes motherfucker, it's a bong. 'Til next time...

Josh Howard? Again?!

Not again. My man first admitted to a "casual" marijuana habit, that he does "only" offseason. In a video posted recently on YouTube, Howard was shown at a charity flag football game. As the national anthem plays in the background, Howard approaches a camera and says: “‘The Star Spangled Banner’ is going on right now. I don’t even celebrate that (expletive). I’m black", according to Yahoo! Heres a video:

HAHA! Wow, SMH @ Josh Howard. I think still he deep though. Until next time....

Beware, American taxpayer...

As you've probably head all this week and last, AIG, a major American insurance company, was bought out by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. How much? $85 billion. You wonder where all this money comes from? The Federal Government. Because economy and cash supply is so low, the Feds purchase bad loans to inject money into the system. In other words, to increase the money supply. On top of this AIG buyout, Bush Administration and Congressional leaders call for a mortgage buyout as well; you've heard 100's of 1000's of homes planned to be foreclosed within the next year in the Bay Area alone, I'm sure. (KRON 4 News) This mortgage buyout alone will total a whoppin' $700 billion. $85 billion for AIG and $700 billion for bad mortgage loans. Of course the Fed's do not pull this money out the ass, so who the fuck pays for this shit, as well as all the other "bad loans" the Fed's plan on buying?! The American taxpayer. Son of a bitch...

Rumored to be released the 29th of September. We'll see. Missed out on these as a kid. Dope, huh. They got a black/blue/white colorway, the sickest one of the three. White/blue/black and switched it up a little with the black/white/red with maize.

Hit me if you see 'em around..

Also, I came across a website for various Mozilla Firefox browser themes. (Link is located below.) Here's the one I'm currently using:

Visit the site, download it. It'll install itself. To set it, simply open your Firefox browser: Tools > Add-on's > Themes. You're good to go...

DJ Khaled - We Global

Been busy the past couple days. Nose all up in books, studying midterms for Economics, Stats, Accounting, and Info Systems...Give me a fucken break. Split it up, break it up, roll it up, light it up.

Here I am...

From the first time I saw xanga, time and time again, I said that blogs were the dumbest things ever. Well, I gave in. Here, in the beautiful city of San Francisco, I find myself having nothing on my schedule other than gettin' educated. So, here I am... I'll be posting plenty of pictures rest assured. So if you're still fucken' with that 56k, do yourself a favor and exit the browser. Until next time motherfuckers.
